CREATIVITY HAS LOT TO DO WITH EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Creativity can be categorized in number of forms primarily:

1. Essence Creativity.
2. Elaborative Creativity.
3. Expressive Creativity.
4. Entrepreneurial Creativity
5. Existential creativity.
6. Empowerment Creativity.

Essence Creativity

It takes place in the form of fresh new policies, strategies, values and visions. The two basic ways in which  can be established are:

#    Blend of diversified organization, that is, a function of the organization adopting the principal and divisionalization that is subordinating all that is needed for a functional expertise of the marketing of products.

#    For adopting of the participative, power sharing philosophy of theory Y management.

Some of the ways in which American Airlines tried to develop creativity were:

1. Introduction of dual wage structure: continuation of higher wages and job security for existing staff and the lower wages for new stuff.
2. The issue of customer loyalty program through on cash incentive based on the amount of flying with the airlines.
3. Wheel shaped routing system.
4. Completely computerizing the entire reservation system to offer a great facility to the customer and simplifying his reservation system.

Similarly British Airways also invented new creative ideas within the organization:

1. A mindset change for the entire staff.
2. Converting the personnel staff into change agents.
3. The white and emotional support of the employer is undergoing burnout from providing high quality.

The Scandinavian Airlines also made certain efforts in the same direction:

1. Door to door service package.
2. Increasing the commercial orientation of the staff by donating its air routes into profit centers.

Elaborative creativity

It is the innovative amplification of the core ideas or principles.  It can begin with participation in the inland new plants. It is done participatively involving various viewpoints and a brainstorming.  The ideas of creativity is synthesized.  It can become innovative way and not just one but several powerful possibly partially conflicting ideas are taught fused together.  Some of such ideas may be ideas of decentralization and centralize a nation, controller and autonomy, or internal entrepreneurship and efficiency.

Expressive creativity

A wide range of activities such as advertising and promotion, packaging, public relations, product design, interior decoration, landscaping and architecture, internal newsletter and so forth a lot of such kind of creativity is a part of expressive creativity.

Existential creativity

Existential creativity is about raising the quality of our existence, enlarging our consciousness, actualizing our potential and growing and developing in ways that increasingly manifest our inherent humanity.

There is a higher side of the human love, compassion, hunger for knowledge, appreciation of beauty, truth, goodness and spiritual yearnings.  Existential creativity in the organization context is enabling organization and members exclusively its internal stakeholders to pursue their growth, says actualization and noble yearlings.

Entrepreneurial creativity

The organization grows and competes through ventures.  These ventures yields into diversification, acquisition, vertical integration, significant expansion, joint venture, penetration of new markets, significant projects, significant launches of products etc.

One such case example would be pertinent to be disclosed here:

Irish airline leveraged its airline computerize skills for marketing turnkey reservation systems, its engine: overhauling capabilities bull market these and other airlines, and its personnel managements skills to undertake the management of nursing homes in the United Kingdom and a hospital in Iraq.

Empowerment creativity

Empowerment is about caring for people generally defined as ‘others’.  Empowerment is enhancing the authority, influence, status, personality, growth and development of others.

Creative empowerment involves creative and innovative ways of empowering others.
